Trips

Each year we organise a number of trips to the theatre, to the British Library and to various lectures to enrich the students’ study of Language and Literature.

Theatre trips, relevant to the texts that classes have been studying over the past year, have included:

 

  Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Lyric Theatre, London (Year 13)

  Hard Times, Cambridge Arts Theatre (Year 12)

  The Tempest, Globe Theatre, London (Years 12 & 13)

  Antony and Cleopatra,Globe Theatre, London (Year 12)

  Journey's End, The Place, Bedford (Year 10)

  Captain Corelli's Mandolin,Stamford Arts Centre (Year 13)

  Othello, Globe Theatre, London (Year 12)

Sixth-form students have also attended lectures in London on:

  Chaucer’s The Merchant's Prologue and Tale

  Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

  The poetry of Larkin

  Antony and Cleopatra
