In Years 10 and 11, across-the-year testing on a regular basis provides a secure framework for GCSE examination success, within which each teacher is free to choose his or her own coursework texts and tasks. Our well-stocked and professionally staffed library supports individual pupils’ reading. Pupils are mostly in mixed ability sets, with the exception of a small select group for pupils who need more individual attention. Members of this group are usually entered for both GCSE English Language and English Literature.
